Looks like the Sustainable Living Fair wants to have a workshop on urban chickens again this year.  look for it the afternoon of Sunday Sep 26th.

Introduction to Urban Hens

  • When: Wed, March 10th at 7pm; Where: Room 2-10 (two dash ten), Agriculture Bldg, MU campus
  • When: Sat, March 20th at 2 pm; Where: Room 2-7 (two dash seven, not two through seven), Agriculture Bldg, MU campus
  • Description: Learn all about the city’s new chicken ordinance, the benefits of raising backyard chickens, how to properly care for your hens, and much more. Suggested donation of $5-20 for all participants. Contact Carrie Hargrove for more information at

Hands On Coop Building

  • WhenSat, March 27, 1pm – 5pm
  • Where:  214 St Joseph Street (map)
  • Description:  There will be discussion on coop design and constructing a coop in the back yard. At the end of the workshop we will auction off the coop. Cost: $5-$20 sliding scale. This donation benefits CCUA’s mission. For more information or to sign up, please e-mail Carrie at
